  WARNING - excessive IO to /short will hang; use /jobfs when appropriate

                           IMPORTANT MESSAGE

    The bulk of LC is no longer under hardware maintenance. This means
    that the capacity of the service may decrease over time as hardware
    fails. We will continue to maintain a functional service with regular
    software upgrades. However at some point the service may no longer be
    viable.  As of 31 July 2007, only one node has failed.  

 Dec 5:  G03 updated to Rev E.01. Access using module load gaussian/g03e01.

 Aug 25: The Mass Data Storage System will be unavailable from 10am to 12pm,
         Monday August 25th.  The netmv/netcp commands may still be used to
         queue up jobs to archive off data via copyq jobs.  These jobs will
         not run until the MDSS comes back online.
