Consultancy

ANUSF supports the National Facility with a number of Academic Consultants and Programmers with research experience in a range of application areas and in high performance computing generally. In particular, our consultants can assist in:

• algorithm choice and development
• code establishment and tuning of computational and Input/Output performance
• writing scripts to manage production work efficiently
• establishing data structures to use the mass data store system efficiently
• visualizing data (including data produced by experiments) and making videos

Contacts with researchers and students on campus may take a variety of forms, from answering simple questions to extended collaborations in which an Academic Consultant may spend several months as part of a research team implementing an application.
